...bats.for.lashes...

When first speaking to Christine Reed, owner of Christine Reed Lash Spa & Salon, Christine was defiantly passionate in her artistry of how misinformed some are (as with all new concepts and procedures in the cosmetology and specifically when running a spa as well. Christine's tucked away intimate little spa makes you feel like it was just set up for you.
Her knowledge about the techniques, (procedures) the different "look" to achieve upon which lashes to use, and even to the specification of the best lashes for women of Asian decent. (because of the light and short nature of the lashes, the mink lashes are best)
Christine is also adamant on the dangers and the repairs where new clients walking in are not aware that for not only the best results... but for the HEALTH of your eyelashes- lash extensions must be applied individually as salons' attempts to "cut corners" by the pieces cut and applied as opposed to the time and the attention to detail to take and apply each lash one by one so upon removal or when a new pair is needing some "tuning up"- you are never loosing or ripping out any of your own natural eyelashes.
As one whom's career is building exciting and beautiful imagery with art- I was curious of this nationwide spread of cutting the time AND the cost of mascara was just genius for especially the girls whom are not only on the constant go- but can get out the door in a New York minute in LA. A client of mine once said- with great hair and great skincare you can run out the door always... as she and her daughter both have now the proper and best hair extension care, to their oxygen facials (which Christine's spa not only offers- but while your lashes are being applied- have your facial at the same time!)
We multi-task in every aspect of our life and I said to Christine (as her staff of a selective three, medical spa services of micro-dermabration and permanent make up- which is applied in a completely different technique taburi as opposed to the slanted eyeliner prongs which leave the demarcations that make me cringe) to her nail specialist and their specialty minx nails custom ordered, and the glitter? The ones sprinkled on!!! THE best... literally I was only too excited to make my appointment the next day (still trying to go today but had to write this article after my new set of lashes instantly gave me a boost of sultry pep in my step). My experience and privilege to have some of Christine's time and really get to know about a field so misinformed (the latise dying your eyes and graying your eye area mechanism didn't last for long!) A set of lashes feels as good as a fresh pair of shoes... because when you look good- you feel good... that's why I like to call myself Dr. Feelgood.
