...gisele.magazine...

when my amazing friend Eri Beverly called to tell me I was named the Los Angeles "style master" again (feeling a bit of pressure- got a few years running now!) I was beyond excited to do the shoot. Besides the fact that I'm a behind the camera not in front of the camera jitters I usually get... and being photographed out in the open, out and about on a Sunday gives me quite a bit of anxiety (ok... a lot)- we had so much fun!
Started bright and early, camera ready at 9am at the Flea market on Fairfax (the denim shorts look),
we then went straight to one of my favorite incredible vintage collection stores, Shabon on Beverly (the owner Rie is amazing) where we did my "shopping look".
Then off to Joyrich, I was shot in my "work" look. maybe I'm not always in a monkey fur cape and leather thigh high boots on set... but if I have the time to get ready like that- real talk... I'll do it.
A change in their gold dressing rooms into my "red carpet" gown (with my favorite cut out Giuseppe Zannoti's, bought them after I fell in love when styling Kelis for Oyster magazine, had to get them)
And off to Fred Segal for the "lunching look"- complete in an amazing long lace robe, and thigh high flat black suede boots. (if you didn't know already... purple is a huge obsession of mine)
Running around LA all day we headed next to Venice, where we shot the black romper with the white and silver beaded jacket outside of my friend's really rad cottage...
And scrambling into my "beach look" before loosing the sun and hitting the sand... Jimi Hendrix decked out in his tuxedo... my car looked like it puked out a photo shoot from grabbing garment bags throwing in jewelry changes, shoes, hats, bags... it was well worth it when looking back at the photos, and remember all the fun we had. <3
