my best friends love to give me shit about my life motto- which is boldly printed on my business cards:

"life is a photo shoot... dress like it"

what exactly do I mean by such a ballsy statement? Exactly just that- whether I'm just running errands, grabbing coffee, or on a vintage hunt (examples of places you won't wear a ball gown for arguments sake..)- It's 0 excuse for the gross factor... Every time I step right outside my door- I'm wearing "me"- every inch from head to toe... because when someone stops me and comments how much they love my: beat up combat boots, or my crazy enormous seashell ring... enormous vintage sunnies- whatever I'm stopped for, besides graciously accepting the compliment and thanking the fabulous fashion lover, I always thank them and get to say: "thank you! I'm a stylist, so that really means the world!" and that person that complimented you... you just don't know who they really might be. Besides- my nanny always taught me I treat the lady behind the Chanel counter with the same respect as the mailman, my dance instructor, etc... because no one person is "better" than you, or "worse" than you- you are NOT "above" anyone else, nor is anyone "below" you... we all have a different aesthetic, what may please one persons eye- may not please another, so the best advice I can give to you my little fashion monsters? JUST WEAR IT- DARE TO WEAR WHAT YOU WANT WITH A FUCKING BIG ASS DOSE OF CONFIDENCE, and equal parts fun and flair- and THAT is the secret to amazing fucking fashion! The BALLS TO WEAR IT! I can never explain to client's enough... one of the BIGGEST secrets to having amazing style... is CONFIDENCE. If you wear it... wear it with confidence... if you're constantly tugging, and pulling, and fidgeting with your outfit- it's just not for you... wear what works for YOU... trends come and go- just like a flavor of the week- or a guy that you "try on"... but fashion... us die hard fashion junkies- our garb is our art... and when you find your style stride... the rest is a pretty sweet ride...
