There's always been something so classic, so chic, so... versatile if done correctly ,of course! about mixing polka dots and stripes that I've always alllllwaaaayysss loved!
You can take it in the classic rock and roll direction, or take it in the parisian chic direction- it's all about the proportions of the stripes to polka dots... and having the eye to mix and match these two competing patterns perfectly...
First example is in the Evan Rachel Wood photo I styled for VenusZine... classic stripe... more spacing between the stripes- so I went for a more "retro" vibe.. with the red Moschino heels, and the magenta belt to play off the boudoir...
In the bottom photo- the "Annie Hall" inspired photo shoot that Shiloh Strong (fucking AMAZING photographer... you MUST CHECK HIS WORK OUT!!!) and I did together (you can check out some of my styling work on my model mayhem until I find someone competent enough to create my website!!)

Miu Miu's new Spring and Summer collections are raging with polka dots- and I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of the sky high red platform polka dot strappy heels, and mix it up with varying sizes of stripes- in a little stripped dress... and there's a certain element that just screams MUST ADD RED to this classic combo... (which obviously came into play with the red boots in the last shot)...
So go through your own wardrobe my fashion junkies!!! Play around with your circles and stripes... and you may be surprised to see what you could come up with from just a little fashion push my fashion monsters...
