love love riccardo isci's latest collection for my love, Givenchy.... He gets it.. Ann Demeulemeester gets it... Thomas Wylde also "gets it"... Riccardo is only struggling with believing that people understand and "get" his collection as well, (hence the slow progression of shapes and colors in his most recent collection as if he is almost trying to "ease in" the audience into a controversial new shape or color... with the slightest touch of intimidation.... I really love the tight "mid calf/ mermaid" skirt silhouette right now... so relevant.. and very sexy... I think it's going to start popping up everywhere almost as much as this neon nightmare that has latest and latest for way too long... the introduction of the furs and brocades you've seen so far is nothing compared to what the rest of fall winter 09 are bringing my loverfaces.... it's a return to opulence, class, high society dressing with the economies current state- we need a fashion escape from the penn pinching mentality that's been shoveled down our throats... so throw on a tailcoat- and your fluffiest fur.... and let's bring fashion back to life again... it's been dead and gone for far too long...
